running high rpm without edis??

I have done a bit of a search and couldn't turn up with much besides the fact that EDIS 4 doesn't like to go above about 8k rpm.
I want to rid my bike of the mechanical advance ignition as its getting old and parts are failing. ideally i would like to install a Megajolt, the problem being is the bike revs to around 11-12k rpm
details: 4cyl bike, twin dyna 3ohm coils with twin outputs running wasted spark.
i have read up on the megasquirt and i am aware that megajolt is not affiliated but it can run 2 coil waste spark without an edis module, i was wondering if it is possible to set the megajolt up with the toothed wheel and vr sensor to do the same. unfortunately i am not hugely electrically minded but can wield a soldering iron with reasonable results that's why i am asking the questions.
Alternatively will something like this work to my desired rev range? and is there any kits or plans out there that i can replicate this without having to pay near $130 AUD to buy it aswell as the EDIS setup being a little hard to come by over here.
