hi, i have a v4 with tps installed but want to use a map sensor, i have purchased the conversion kit and can fit the components using the build manual instructions, but do i need to isolate the tps components some how? is there a guide available? will i also need to reprogram the ecu for map setup?

While the process for converting is easy, we don't have it clearly documented. Apologies for this.

To perform the conversion:

1. Install the MAP sensor and support components
2. Disconnect your TPS - you can simply clip the TPS_INPUT wire going to the molex plug.

That's it!

Firmware is identical between MAP and TPS variants- however, if you've calibrated your TPS you will need to re-calibrate again for the MAP sensor. The easiest way to do this is to re-flash the stock 4.0.2 firmware.

Instructions here:

V4.0.2 firmware here:

By re-flashing the stock firmware you also get the factory default ignition map, which is set up for basic MAP sensor operation. Of course, you may find a more suitable map for your engine in our Ignition Map Library.

Hope this helps-
