Megajolt Lite Jr V3 -> V4 upgrade Questions??

Hi all :)

Just wondering if i should be considering a upgrade to the version 4?
Is the extra input a big bonus? How important is it to be adjusting timing due to changes in temp?
Or would it be better to use, (or perhaps the question is it able to use), the input with a wbo2 sensor, lc1 etc... so you can have it included in the logs?
I dont see anything about knock sensor input... I tend to think that this would be the singular most important peace of hardware to mate up with an ignition controler for tuning perposes? Or am i missing something?
Oh and what are the spisific other changes to funtionality between V3 and V4...

Thanks
Timon

oh i should perhaps add that in have only constructed and played with my V3. The car is still being built, (1977 celica, 2l twincam 1996 3sge with twin webers), so im not really very experianced with it... e.g. know idea how to tune an ignition map :p.
But yea, side from construction diferances the new input, and looks to have more outputs what are the other differances between the two ?

Thanks
Timon

Hi Timon,

You have a good understanding of the differences between the versions. The number of outputs are the same between versions.

The aux-input can be helpful to account for warmup conditions. This can be retrofitted with custom hardware and the application of the 3.3.x beta firmware. See this long thread for more info:http://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=2100

Since you already have a V3- I would stick with it, get it tuned up with it's current capabilities. I think you will be quite satisfied, and then you can consider applying the other features.
