I have one it came off a 5.0 out of an explorer and I was just wondering if the over all diameter of the wheel makes a difference in the operation of the unit??

Size Doesn't matter, baby!

No, as long as the size of the teeth and the size of the gap stay in proportion, any diameter wheel will produce the same signal.

does anyone know what the min

does anyone know what the minimum thickness needs to be for the 36-1 sensor ring in order for a VR sensor, off of an escort, to pick up the triggers. my application needs me to have a new sensor ring cut to a larger size diameter and the thicker i need it cut the more expensive. was wondering if 1/4inch thick ring would do the job. (the ring from the escort is about .350") anyhelp appreciated.

what is the smallest posible

what is the smallest posible dia of a trigger wheel? there must be a min distance between the teeth for it to work. my crank pully only measures 40mm dia and one of those siera jobs would be like putting another flywheel on in comparison

I don't think there's a limit

I don't think there's a limit per se; you want to make sure it can pass by the sensor with enough tooth surface area to generate the correct signal.
