Configurator and megajolt compatibility between versions

Post by Oliver Sedlacek »

I seem to be fairly up the creek etc. I can't get my old V2 configurator software to find any comm ports (Windows XP, real ports or USB VCP) on my laptop or my desktop machine. I've also tried the latest V4.02 configurator, but that doesn't work either. I haven't been paying attention for a while, but the baud rate seems to have been changed from 4800 to 38400 somewhere along the line. What version of configurator software still supports the old units?

Hi Oliver

Try this page for the downloads http://www.autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V2_Downloads

V4.02 software only works with the V4 megajolts
V3.?? software only works with the V3 megajolts
and V2 software only works with the V2

The reason being is that each controller uses a different microprocessor chip and the software is not interchangable.

Thanks Nitropixie. I had tried the V3 configuration software and that worked, so I'm up and running again. Now I just have to diagnose my original problem, which is an occasional major loss of power above 3200 RPM. Some days it's fine, other days it isn't. Sigh.

How well is your VR sensor mounted??? Could be a vibration problem.

NP, is there a time frame for the production of each type of mj?
thanks

Hi everyone!!!
I hope you can help me!!!
I have installed the programme megajolt v 4.0.1 on my new pc, which has windows 7, and...it doesn't work!
On the contrary, if i use it with windows xp it works perfectly. Now I think there's a problem with pc operating system, but I don't know how to solve it. Do you think I need a new version of this programme? Which one?
I am not very experienced with this programme, even beacouse I am italian and is my father who uses it, so...i'm waiting for any help you can give me! thanks...

Hi RTR,

A friendly suggestion: you should post a new topic for your problem, as this thread is a different subject than what you're asking about.

Regarding your problem- first, try the latest 4.0.2 software- always good to use the latest.

Also, can you describe what the problem is? What errors do you see on the screen, etc.
