v3 maps on v4

Hi do the v3 maps work on the v4 as i has a v4 to run my mondeo bangers running on twin chock webber carbs the guy who put the kit together uploaded his map that he uses on his v3 its just i went to a local track to test out the car and it seemed a little flat and wondered if it was to do with this any help would be greatfully recieved
