Megajolt or full MS? (60-2 trigger wheel)

I've got a BMW M20B25 straight 6 engine that cam with a 60-2 crank-mounted pully/dampener and sensor which I'm converting to carbs. Would it be possible to use this sensor/wheel with the EDIS system instead of the 36-1 wheel somehow?
If this is not possible then does a megasquirt system have the capability of reading the larger wheel? (All I need the system to do is handle the ignition).
IS there something I'm missing or simply not understanding?
