Adjustable rev limiter

I have recently bought a class 5 autograss car running a vauxhall 1400 engine and megajolt lite jr. I was wondering if there was any way that you could have a single adjustable parameter on a button whilst already having 2 different maps on a switch. For example I am looking at wiring a button in so that i can sit on the line with my foot flat to the floor but sat at exactly the right revs because it is being limited, but then as soon as i let go of the button for the rev limiter to return to the setting desired whilst racing.
Any help would be greatfully recieved

Hello,
You can configure the Option Input to switch between two different ignition configurations on the fly. that will let you specify a different rev limiter setting for each configuration.
See the Operation and Installation guide for more information on enabling this!
You will probably need the Hard Rev Limiter module to get best effect; without the hard rev limiter the controller enacts the 'soft limiter' which retards the ignition to zero degrees 100 RPMs before the hard rev limiter cuts in.
Let us know how it works out for you!

I already have the option switch wired in so I have different configurations for different conditions, I was just wondering if there was any way to have a button which will lower the activation point of the rev limiter in addition to the option switch?

Using the current option switch feature would be the primary way to select between two different rev limits.
What are you currently using the option switch feature for? Anything extremely important?

I dont know if you are familiar with autograss or not but basically it is a dirt oval that we race on and sometimes to keep the dust down try water in front of your race so it is currently set up for different conditions, a wet or a dry race. So it is quite important.

Oh, interesting!
So what is different between the two ignition maps for wet or dry? Are you primarily changing the ignition map, or are you using some of the outputs to control things on the race car?

Also,
are you currently using the hard rev limiter module?

It is the ignition map being changed just to back power off and try to keep grip and I have got the hard rev limiter on order will fit it as soon as it arrives.

if the hard rev limiter is mounted externally from the megajolt you could use one of the additional user outputs as a secondary way to trigger the hard rev limiter, with a switch in-line to disable it. That way, it would be normally be triggered by the standard hard rev cut-off, then optionally triggered by one of the extra user outputs with an in-line switch.
I think a quick diagram is needed. let me get back on that

I think I understand what you mean, a diagram may just help clarify things, thanks for all your help so far.
