need some help

hello ive borough a mini and it is running mega jr lite i wana get it running on my labtop ive download megajolt v4.0.2 and the drive for the usb but still notting im getting no live fed or anything am i missing anything and also a few wires have been no connecting would this b a problem
if u can give me any idear y it would that would b great

Are you connecting the ecu via a USB converter or straight to the rs232 port?
Best way to do it is going straight into the rs232 port on your laptop if it has one
If your using a USB converter make sure you have your port settings correct there's a bit on the instalaction guide on here on how to set the correct port
Do you get any errors at the bottom off the megajolt screen? Most probably timeout reading cylinder count
Megajolt doesn't really like USB converters but some do work
Beat bet is get a laptop with a dedicated serial port and try that
