downloaded software ok up to creating an INSTALLATION DIRECTORY. sorry i am a newbie, where should i create this directory and is it a specific type as i would not know how to create one if it is. thanks for your help.

thanks for the reply. I think i am getting somewhere. My modern laptop does not have a serial port so i am having to use an adaptor on the usb port which may cause some more headaches? Cheers for now, Doc
