I'm still trying to get other things to work, but figured I'd try and get a jump on this if possible. Does the on-board Lua include a socket library to connect out to arbitrary things on the Internet? Not sure if that stuff is included with all embedded Lua interpreters or not.

Alas, socket and networking is no currently present with the Lua runtime libraries.
