Hi all,

I understand that ford coil packs must be used as the edis bit is ford, but can any coil pack be used?? Eh fiesta, focus, escort etc, do they give the same spark??

The Escort/Fiesta/Mondeo/etc coil packs are all interchangeable as far as EDIS/Megajolt is concerned.

Some people use also other coil packs that are not from Ford vehicle. As long as there's no drivers, impedance is equivalent to Ford coil pack, dwell is ok, it could work.
They are using on 6cyl version, Chrysler coil pack because it uses regular spark plug connectors, it is also flat, so easier to install.

I've also heard stuffs with coil on plugs from old BMW that could work on lost spark mode.
