A friend of mine intends to use mjlj on a 4 cyl air cooled vw .
He also has a tach from a porsche 6Cyl engine .

He intends to use a second trigger wheel with sensor to make the tach work
and read correctly .

But I was thinking
Can mjlj be configured/modified to drive the tach , and still
fire the four cyl correctly . Without any hardware mod's that is .

If I was you I'll open the tach and see if it can be calibrated for a 4 cyl engine.

I'm running myself a 6 cyl tach on my flat 4 http://community.webshots.com/photo/658 ... 9536bMQFHV , opened, fiddled with some pots, closed.

Keep it simple.
