I am guessing not as I haven't found a way but is it possible to read datalogs stored on the SD card via the usb cable? Asking as the location I'd like to have the unit makes it a little difficult to get at the SD card frequently and it would be easier for me to leave the usb cable hooked up and hidden. It would be really nice to be able to manage files via usb so we can clean up old files, organize logs by event, and of course download them.

There isn't a way to do this, but I put in a feature request for this a while ago. Here is the thread: http://autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=3912

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation! I would really like file system access in general to the contents of the drive in my laptop's OS. Would be nice as I could store a copy of race analyzer or gems on the SD card for installing on any laptop on hand making any laptop pretty much usable for analysis (assuming the driver intricacies with windows 8 get resolved).

Reading data over USB and via bluetooth are on the list. Note, it will still be much faster to read via the SD card directly.
