Hi just taken delivery of our MK2 logger. When attempting to update the firmware to the latest version we keep getting the error message of "failed to load firmware, unable to locate bootloader"

We have followed the instructions with regards to unplugging the usb lead, and the red light on the front of the unit is flashing.

Has anyone else had this issue? is there something else we are missing?

Regards

Did you get the drivers installed correctly? Can you see the RCP in your computer's Device Manager when it is plugged in?

Hi,

I am experiencing a related problem. I have a new in box MK2 and I am running windows 10. I installed the windows s/w and plugged in the MK2 device. I get a message saying:

Incompatible Firmware
Detected v0.0.0
Please upgrade firmware to 2.8.0

So, after downloading the latest from the site (RaceCapturePro_MK2_2.8.7.ihex) and following the below supplied instructions:

** Alternative method
* While holding down the button on RaceCapture/Pro, power it up by plugging in to USB.
* You should observe a rapidly flashing red LED on the unit.
* Start the app; it will not be able to connect normally.
* Navigate to the configuration/firmware update screen, select the firmware file and update the firmware.

I get the following message:

Error Loading
Failed to Load Firmware
Unable to locate bootloader

What are the next steps?

cheers,

Craig

Hi,

Sorry it's not working. First, what version of the app are you running on windows 10?
