Hi,

I currently looking to upgrade both the ignition and fuelling on my 2l pinto'd westfield.
Questions are;

I would like to go gsxr throttle body route, is the megajolt system fully compatable with the megasquirt or shall i just go for the megasquirt and spark.

Also my laptop is quite modern and doesn't have a comm port how can i get it to communicate with the units.

The MJLJ will work with the megasquirt- the MJLJ tach output line feeds the tach input of the Megasquirt- that's how I'm running it currently. See the Contact/About link at the top to see my current setup.

I understand the MS&EDIS version of the firmware is very well executed. You do loose the Fast-Idle output to support EDIS, but if you don't need that it can be a great way to go. The MJLJ offers some extra goodies like 6 user-defined output switches; if you find that useful that can influence your decision.
