Can't open port after migrating to Windows 10

Post by bmcdaniel »

Never had a problem connecting with XP but now with Win 10 I can't open the port. Same computer, same hardware, running V4.0.2. I've double checked the port number and port settings. Looking at the port in device manager I get the message:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Not Enough Quota}
Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota is available to complete the specified operation."

Anybody have an idea what I can do? Thanks in advance.

Ok, got the adaptor to work by installing an older version driver. Now I get the message:
"Timeout reading cylinder count".
Now what?

Picked up a Win 10-compatable USB serial adaptor off ebay for $8, works good and I was able to connect and edit my timing curve.
