Is it possible to configure an input, or a value of the input, to change the display page of the app on the tablet?

Not currently. If you are looking for a way to have hard buttons change the app page, know that the left and right arrow keys are mapped to the app dashboard screen moving left and right.

Using a bluetooth keyboard dongle you could get this effect with your android tablet. A really clever application would be to hack the keyboard to mount hard buttons in a convenient location!
