iOS beta app testing feedback

iOS beta testers: post issues you find here with the iOS app. We have a list of known issues here:

https://github.com/autosportlabs/RaceCa ... abel%3AiOS

Once you report it we'll figure out if it's iOS specific or a general issue you uncovered.

Some things you might have feedback might be just a general app feature question that's not specific to iOS; for these kinds of things please post separate topics in the forums and we'll cover them there.

If you have a RaceCapture or RaceCapture/Pro with WiFi you can help test, just email sales@autosportlabs.com

Thanks for testing!

Compatibility with Harry's Laptimer App on iOS

HLT won't talk to the RaceCapture Device. I don't know if this is related to the device not linking GPS data to iOS Location Services or not.

Please keep the topic related to the iOS version of the RaceCapture app. HLT topics can be directed to the appropriate HLT forums.

Thank you,

iOS File Sharing

Are you going to implement app file sharing in iOS so iTunes can be used to transfer exported data files? I'm using iBrowse right now, but it's fairly clunky. Or is there another way to access the data files?

Exported Data File format

Can you combine all the rows with the same time stamp in the exported data file? It would make the data a lot easier to deal with.

Throttle Position Sensor

The output of the standard OBDII PID for throttle position on my 2011 Mustang is 18-76, not 0-100. There are alternate OBDII PID's that would have 0-100 output, but there doesn't seem to be a provision to select a different PID or add a PID to the list or calibrate non-standard output.

Hi dewitt, thanks for the feedback.

Can look at the iTunes sharing option, thank you.

However, the last couple of items you posted aren't specific to the iOS version of the app; could you post separate topics about them? See the guidelines at the top. Thanks for testing it out!

Keyboard input for paging

On the Android app when you plug in a keyboard you can page through the screens with the arrow keys. That doesn't work on the iOS app. The keyboard works for other iOS apps so it is being seen by the iPad.
