RaceCapture/Apex Questions

I have a few questions:
1) Is there a Bluetooth or other ODBII interface for pre-CAN bus ECUs?
2) Are the other dash options that are closer layout to the AIM/Motec/CDS race dashes? Can the phone/laptop used as a dash be connected via cable or is it only via Bluetooth?
3) Can an AIM dash like the MXS or steering wheel integrated systems like the Formula Steering Wheel 2 be used in parallel with the RaceCapture/Apex.
4) Does it support multiple GoPro cameras, possibly using the wireless BacPac? It is always nice to have front and rear cameras, and very nice videos can be created having front, rear, driver, and driver's feet.
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
1) In our Kickstarter, we released a "classic OBDII adapter" that translates legacy OBDII to CAN bus OBDII that RaceCapture can use. We are making a needed hardware spin on it; it will be available this early spring.
Scroll down for the description of this adapter:

2) Our new dashboard screens will look like these examples.

What layouts were you specifically looking for, so we can understand your needs?
Dashboard connection is via WiFi or Bluetooth only.
3) Yes, you can use RaceCapture/Apex or RaceCapture/Pro with an AIM system; you are not required to use the RaceCapture app as the RaceCapture/Pro and RaceCapture/Apex systems can operate stand-alone. We have an AIM integration here:

4) We are investigating the feasibility of multiple camera control.
Thank you for your interest, let us know if we can help further!

The goal in for the dash was to avoid the expense of an AIM MXS or MXG. The displays would be similar to those: A slimmer tach graph, lap counter, best time, last time, predictive time, warning lights that change color for water temp, oil temp, oil press, fuel press, volts. A flip to setup info that might include something like brake line pressure (I use that to set the balance), maybe sensor reading (to check that they are working), etc. A quick way to flip between screens with a button.
Bluetooth won't work for a dash display. Just a item that isn't reliable enough...another problem on the grid when there are already too many things to worry about. The key here is to use a $500 tablet instead of a $2300 display/data acquisition unit.
One comment when I discussed this on another forum was what support there was for doing calculations in the analysis tool and how direct the support was for the Izzy Racing sensors. You have a picture, but do you have support?
The last time I looked into this (and decided to wait because of the lack of GONASS support) you were recommending a third party tool for analysis. Is that still an option?

Hi David,
At the moment, the connection to the display is via Bluetooth or WiFi only.
In the app we now do have built-in analysis features - you can see some demos here on our youtube channel:

Thank you,
