Hi,
has anybody out there fitted a Megajolt to a toyota 4AGE 16V engine with a TPS rather than MAP sensor? I'm thinking of doing it myself but am a bit unsure of how I will create the 3D map from scratch, so was hoping someone might have a ma to share.
Any help, comments, advice etc gladly received
Pete

Well Pete. I used to have Megajolt on Ford crown victoria, I had to create map from scratch. It's not that difficult, for as long as you take baby steps and listen to the engine.
The hardest part for you would be to install the 36-1 tooth gear and the sensor onto your crank pulley. Everything else is easy. Now, I'd go with MAP instead of TPS. You use TPS only if you can't get a clean MAP reading. MAP is much more accurate.

Just "ditto"ing 4600cc's comments. Unless you plan to run some very large radical cams, I would definetly go with a MAP setup. There is a place for TPS but they are few compared to MAP.
As far as an actual mapped table is concerned, just look in the contributed files section here and you will find some very good starter maps that will get you under way. People here will be glad to comment or give advice on any you pick.
