Info from a previous thread......
....I'm working with Guy on providing kits in the UK. Somewhat of a backlog at the moment, but ordering PCBs 20 at a time from Brent. You can get everything from Maplin if you do a bit of digging to Xref things. The Price list we are working to at the moment is MJlJr kit of parts £35 (less case &am...

Output that drives the Runtime display?
Brent,
What type of output is the MJLJ giving that drives the Runtime Display?
I'm thinking of a way to capture this output to be able to later analyse it to see what the MJLJ was doing.
Does it need to be a Java based utility?
Thanks,
Nick.

Kitt,
I don't know if it requires sheiling, but I had some shielded cable and thought it better to use that than introduce any problems by not shielding.
The ground runs from the ground connector on the TPS to the ground connector on the Molex which then runs to car chassis.

edowner,
I had a play with this a while ago too, just got back to it again.
Looks like mjlmTune uses Swing which Jeode does not support...;-(

The tacho out drives the tach
The tacho out drives the tacho in my car no probs, you get an nice clean square wave signal. The only reason you might want to use the diode circuit is if you have a rev limiter for example. I tried to get the diode circuit to drive my tacho and rev limiter, but it didn't work for me, although other...

Yup, thats basically what to do.
Then you just put the same values in for at MAP/TPS points, so it gives a 2D map.
Moving on from there really needs a rolling road unless you have a map from a similar engine or REALLy know what your doing.

TPS Wiring
Ivan, To wire in a TPS you need to mod the board slightly. Get some fine single core insulated wire and run this from the N/C pin of the X2 connector to the hole in the circuit board where the Output pin of the MAP sensor should be (don't install the MAP sensor). The Output connection is the one tha...

UK Source for MegaJolt Modules
Hello, There is a very good and reliable UK source for either Megajolt components or completed boards or units, so you don't have to have the hassle of getting stuff from the States. If you intend to use TPS then they can mod the board for this aswell. (TPS works fine, I'm using it already) You can ...
