Humble Pie
Brent, I have come back to eat some humble pie. Having now built 2 of these units, I appreciate the thought that has gone in to make the kit easy to assemble. I am really loving the new firmware and pc software and can now more clearly see the direction that you are heading with this. Don't get me w...

V4 Megajolt kit
Hi Brent, I must say I love the look of the new kit. Looking forward to making one. Having just soldered the last of my old kits together in an hour though, I doubt I will be able to go this quickly on this one. One of the joys of the old kit was the arrangement of the components in a clearly labell...

Timing wheels
Yes, I did get it from trigger wheels. I should have bought the bracket too, but had a mental problem with £25 for a piece I could make for £2.... Would have saved a lot of pain though. The trigger wheel is brilliant tho, well made. I had to enlarge the bolt holes slightly +.5mm or so to get it on t...

Thanks Brent. Thought I'd add some more detail to the installation. http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/3320/85603792dy6.jpg Installation with relay in front of engine to switch coils and megajolt on when power received from old ignition coil feed. RS232 Chip problem
Hi Guys, I am using an old laptop with an inverter from the car. I seem to have killed the RS232 chip on the board. The unit is still working, but I cannot talk to it. I have revisited all the solder pads and capacitors around the chip. Has anyone else had one die like this? I am reluctant to connec...

Working with EDIS only
Ok, This installation is an a Range Rover 3.9 V8 Switched a relay for the 2 coil packs from the existing coil supply, which now reside permanently in my engine bay! Got to hook up the megajolt for the ignition control, but looking good. I took it out for a run. Never missed a beat and definitely mor...

It's a Runner! Range Rover 3.9 V8 1991
Ok guys, Got the toothed wheel on properly and aligned. Marked it with touch up paint, best fiver I ever spent! Any Dips in power earlier tonight can be attributed to a naturally occurring phenomena of internal combustion within a rover V8 that actually has enough power to create a decent spark. Inc...

Software offset
Thanks for answering Brent, I think the software offset is neccassary within +- 5 degrees, It is tough to get an accurate mount to zero tolerance on a wheel of smaller diameter. (mine isn't) Does this mean that i should use a timing gun to get an accurate timing reference with just the edis running?...

Crank wheel installation, software trigger offset?
An epic of cock ups. Mocked up all the gear on a friends carbed V8 trailer ( lots of access to the engine at the front) Ran beautifully first time Ok, a month later transfer to mine. Didn't start, not a cough. only change was a diode cct to power the tach signal for the lucas Fuel injection ECU. Sni...
