Thanks Brent. Thought I'd add some more detail to the installation.
Installation with relay in front of engine to switch coils and megajolt on when power received from old ignition coil feed. Also means that I can change back to coil without alteration. The vacuum pickup has to be taken from the back of the plenum. The RR V8 design means that when the throttle butterfly is closed, that the normal pickup for the distributor sees no vacuum at all.
Relay and coil from rover metro, unbelievably the metro mount has exactly the same angle as the inner wing mount.
Happy to see the dizzy cover covered in mud and it still working. I had to make an interface from the coil to the Lucas EFI controller. Got this design from the lr4x4 forums, same as the one on here but for a V8.
