Anything new? Have you sorted out your problem? I am running MJ on a blown B-series engine so am very keen to see how similar engines perform What did you finally settle on for a points gap? I have been running BP7RE3 at .025 with no problems but want to try a larger gap for the fatter spark. I am t...

The car is now running on the MJ and I must say I am very happy with the system. I have a V3 MJ with the older version chip so I am not able to update to the later firmware to five me the Global Options page so I just rewrote my map with a 5 degree adjustment. This will get me through the summer and...

EDIS in the case? Are you sure?
The EDIS unit is quite large, in my case at least, almost as big as my MJ unit.
I would think that just unplugging the Molex connector from the MJ would do the trick.
I am sure an expert will chime in soon to clarify things.

Thanks Danny. If it's just a matter of changing the pin-out that's no problem. Had the car out for it's first long run (30mi) yesterday and I am happy with the MJ's performance. I have to get the carb and blower set up then i may have a go at adjusting the map a bit. In the meantime the results are ...

Brent, Looks like the chip is soldered in place, which is no problem as I have a techie friend who can re and re without damaging anything (Unlike me as I have limited soldering skills) Do you have the upgraded chip available? I have corrected my map to compensate for my mis-timed trigger wheel so t...

Thanks for the lead Brent. Sorry to take so long to reply but I have been in Vegas spending all my money. :D I will take the cover off tonight and see what chip lurks inside. Can the chip simply be pulled or will it be soldered to the board? Also, would the MAX232A be readily available at computer s...

The Moss blower draws through a 13/4""SU. Very simple and reliable. If the software doesn't compensate for my error I will try slotting the mounting plate. In hindsight I should have done that from the start but the mount is all but inacccessible in my application so I am really hoping tha...

How do I compensate for a Mis-timed Trigger Wheel?

I know this must have been discussed many times before but I haven't been able to find it. My trigger wheel is an interference fit on my crank pulley and was installed with the pulley frozen and the wheel heated to 350f. I used Loctite sleeve retainer as a locking agent. When I installed the wheel I...

Thanks Danny, that's good advice.
I'll use crimp connectors temporarily and solder later.

VR Sensor wiring-Again, Sorry!

Hi all! New poster here. I apologise for bringing this old chesnut to light again but I have spent the last couple of hours going through the archives trying to find out which wire to the VR sensor is the negative. I am just starting to make up my harness and would like to just do it once ,so here w...
