I brought the engine to tdc and aligned the trigger wheel 5 teeth offset as required by edis-8. I have started it and it runs on the edis module only to verify install. Trigger Offset adjustment
Could someone tell me which way to adjust... So if my actual timing shows 8 degrees. would I put in a positive or negative 2 degree adjustment ?

OK, well with that compression your total is probably right on, and I guess that explains why your initial timing works. I had a 9.0:1 compression 429 that would run 14 initial and around 38 total. My current motor requires a lot less timing. I may use your light throttle values for a starting place...

I looked over your build thread but it wasn't clear.. What is your current displacement and compression? I have a similar 460 with 10.5:1 . I can't believe your initial timing works at anything above 16 degrees without detonation. Have your verified your base timing of 10 degrees in limp mode ? Also...
