To avoid pre-ignition basically.

At small throttle openings, the actual compression ratio is low, due the throttle starving the engine. At such low compression, you need more advance to get good economy.

The wider the throttle, the more true compression goes up, bigger risk of pre-ignition.

Same set up as above but a tamer map used for daily driving and normal unleaded.

As title

Aggressive map, used with MG TF cams and super unleaded. TPS is calibrated to suit unit fitted to bike carbs (Yamaha FZS 600)

I had a similar issue with the rev counter in our Mini Clubman.

I ended up driving the rev counter using the PIP signal. That worked fine.

You will need a usb - seriel adapter in order to communicate with the MJ.
