Thanks for the reply, I thought it was strange nothing came up in my searches. I did find one reference while manually surfing the old posts.
What are Type1 users doing for their toothed sensor pulley? Anything pre-made available, are people making their own?
Thanks, Jack

Aircooled VW?
Hi all, been away for a long time as my project got side tracked by having to fix up a car for my now 16 year old daughter. Now I've got two years til the next girl turns 16, so I get to pay a bit of attention to my own projects for the next year or so. Since I was last here I've picked up a 1970 VW...

mrbell/CL72
I'd sell it, but only for crazy money. It's far from original. It was in boxes when I got it. Threw it together just to have something to ride but built it as cafe style. Still needs some cosmetic work, but my interests went to other projects. I have son that's almost five, I'll ride it occasionally...

mrbell, I can't comment on
mrbell, I can't comment on the eletronics as I'm just a guy who can follow directions and solder when it comes to this stuff, but I'd definitely be interested. I have a 1965 Honda CL72 (250cc twin) and a 1959 AJS Model 31 (650cc Brit twin)project that I could use them on. If you build it, I'll copy ...

PDA vs GBA vs Laptop
Each have their place in my mind. My MJLJ will be going in my 59 Sprite, no top. My laptop really isn't mine, it belongs to the company I work for. I think the lap top is better for major tuning but it would be nice to be able to have something small to carry around for spot tuning and trouble shoot...

Thanks for your comments
Thanks for your comments Martin. I'll check into using the potentiometers instead. Any comment on what affect using a 2.2k resistor in place of the 2.3k would have? And yes my soldering is much better than that on the site.

Thanks for the reply Martin.
Thanks for the reply Martin. This is what I'm working from (schematic is here too): http://www.scirocco.org/tech/misc/afgauge/af.html I stopped in at my local Radio Shack that's going out of business during lunch today. They had 3.3k, 1/4 & 1/2watt, 5% tolerence but not 2.3k. They had 2.2k. Sinc...

Non MJLJ Help Request
Hi guys, need a recommendation on a non MegaJolt project from someone who knows something about electronics. I'm a guy who can solder and follow directions but doesn't know much about electronics except the "don't let the magic smoke out" rule. I'm building an air/fuel ratio gauge and the ...

Zetec vr Sensor
Steve, that's great news. One less thing to figure out. Are you using a MAP or TPS? Also would you care to share your maps with the rest of Zetec users, so we have a known starting point? Thanks,

Zetec Bugeye
I'm not far enough along to help you with that part. I'm also using twin sidedrafts, but I have Solex's. What trans & bell housing did you mate up? T5 with the quad4rods bellhousing? That seems to be the easy route. I'm working with a T5 but casting my own bell housing.

Zetec Sprite
Good morning, I'm doing exactly the same thing. 2001 Cougar Zetec going into a 1959 AH Sprite. I'm planning on using the flywheel sensor. I asked the list about this some time ago but no one seemed to know for sure. I'm thinking it is doable but I haven't confirmed the sensor is in the right positio...

Just curious, but did you
Just curious, but did you have the pulley balanced after welding on the tooth ring? How important is balance in these applications? I'm planning on using the stock sensor and 36-1 tooth ring on the back of the fly wheel for my Zetec application but I've been thinking about putting a MJLJ on my 231 B...

There will be a GBA version
Excellent Brent. Guess I need to start looking for a flash cartridge and figuring out what I need to flash it. Thanks, Jack.

Gameboy Advance config program.
Brent, I'd love to have a gameboy version. I have one of my kids' old GBA already or they can be picked up used pretty cheap. I think it's a great idea. Plus GBA's serials can be linked with wireless links (they have a plug in adapter), wonder if it's possible to adapt one of the adapters to the MJL...
