Configuration on the move
I have in the past jammed a laptop in the footwell of my Lotus 7 kit car but its not ideal. I have at my disposal an old ipaq and a iphone 3G. The car is off the road for winter and as well as fitting a new engine, gearbox and diff, i also have a set of bike carbs using TPS as well as the older ones...

Load bins and Kpa
Struggling yet again to get it running smoothly, have replaced all parts twice now.
First thing to try and understand is the relation ship between load bin value and Kpa.
One map that was working well has load bin values up to 154 but the gauge only goes to 102Kpa am i missing something here?

It was on a complete bought in engine package from a Sierra, i saw it running and installed the whole lot only changing the sump and fabricating a new VR sensor mounting plate (more substatial than before). I will run the car without MegaJolt just using EDIS and see what happens. I will look at the ...

Tacho suddenly drops to zero
After between 20 and 30 mins running and after a period of part or very little throttle the engine will suddenly feel unresponsive then cut out, it recovers intermitently, runs rough or cuts out, then after a few mins returns to normal. I have changed Plugs, leads and coil pack to no avail. The cutt...

My conclusion is that the problem was Me leaping to conclusions. A weak or seemingly weak spark was the cause of myself and my friend trying to eliminate electrical problems when there were none or at least a few minor ones. We did find some anomalies in the main wiring loom for the EDIS and the Meg...

The coil pack annotations are correct, its a coil pack not a distributor. A coil pack like this is effectively 2 coils that fire from both ends so when a spark is sent through plug lead to cylinder 1 a wasted spark also goes to plug 3, coil packs usually pair odd and even cylinders together hence 1 ...
