what diameter should the trigger wheel have for a 2.0 zetec?

It should be your flywheel anyway shouldn't it, so pretty big.

What are you looking to do??

i'm doing a zetec conversion with r1 carbs on my mk2 fiesta. tought i need a 36-1 trigger wheel instead of the flywheel, thanks for the enlightment :lol: :oops:

no problems fella, thats the good thing with ford conversions your trigger wheel is already there and setup correctly, well those with edis and ecu anyway

same question for an opel X20XE, can i take the signal from the flywheel or do i need a trigger wheel?

Hi Tekno,

The answer is always the same: If it is in the required 36-1 configuration with the appropriate sensor orientation, then yes it will work. In the case of the flywheel, it's just a very large trigger wheel. :)

back with the annoying questions :)

i've read the list of cars that have the EDIS module, but on what engines can i find them, do zetecs have EDIS?
also can i use any Ford OEM VR sensor or do i need one that matches the EDIS?

tekno, the EDIS module is not on the engine. it is mounted on the bodywork in the engine bay, hence you have to find the car body, not an engine. you can use other VR sensors. ford, themselves, have used at least 2 different ones.

i know that, but for what engines were them used? 1.3, 1.4, Zetec?
