We're going to 24 hours of Lemons! We'll be at Thunderhill park, California on Dec. 27 for the Arse-Freeze-Apalooza!
We're one part of a 6 person team scrambling to prep and test our 1989 Peugot 505 turbo. Why a Peugot 505 turbo? Well, because we are the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys, of course!
See our announcement on our front page
And our team blog here: http://teamlemon.blogspot.com/
What is the 24 hours of Lemons? Its a two-day endurance race where you race with a car purchased and prepped with only $500! There are some rules, but cheating and bribing are encouraged.
It's guaranteed to be a crazy spectacle- All I care is the car better hold together long enough so I have a chance to drive!
Watch for pictures and videos soon!

What an eventful 24 hours of Lemons! Sadly, while towing the race car from Seattle, WA to Thunderhill Raceway in CA our team captain was involved in a bad roll-over accident, totalling both vehicle and trailer. Thankfully, our friends were only badly shaken- even "Pujo!" our Peugeot 505 turbo only received cosmetic damage, simply rendering it more "lemony". See the 'gory' pics here:

I and another team-member were almost to the event when we received word of the accident. After some deliberation, we decided to continue, hoping to at least experience some of the event and learn in the process. We also put out a plea to the other teams hoping one might take pity and take us on. Fate smiled upon us and the Dead Smurfs answered our call and adopted us! Whether in the driver's seat or wrenching on the car, the weekend was amazing.
I put together a small video with some in car footage and other event highlights. Check it out!
