Map needed PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Post by darrenxr »

I have just finshed my mk2 fiesta running a fiesta rs 1800 zetec with r1 motorbike carbs.

I am running mjlj.

I am just looking for a safe start up map that will allow me to drive the car to get mapped properly if needed.

If i can get a map that will be very well suited though that would be excellent

Thank you very very much.

Darren

Hi Darren,

the factory map will work well enough for you to drive down to the rolling road. It sounds like you might be running TPS- you may want to consider calibrating your TPS, following this process: http://www.autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V4_Op ... alibration

It's something you will need to do regardless, so you might as well do it in advance.

Sadly i am not running tps... will be using map for load.

Although the bike carbs do have a tps but not sure if that would work.

Quite a few people have said the base map will allow me to drive it so that all good for now.

Thank you.

Good.. As long as you have a stable vacuum reading the MAP sensor option works very well.

Best of luck during tuning! Please share your map when done in the Ignition MAP library..
