ZX6R TPS wiring

Post by scalefour »

Hi all,
I am running a pinto engine on ZX6R bike carbs and I have V3 MJ. In the installation guide it states

"Be sure to wire the sensor in such a way that the voltage going to the TPS input increases with throttle opening."
I think the TPS has 3 connections, 1 going to mj. Where would the other 2 go?

Thanx in advance.

One goes to ground, and one goes to VRef from the Megajolt.

Wiring details are here for the V3 Controller

Which wire goes to which pin is dependant on which way you are turning your TPS and what type it is, which is why the guide says to check the you have set it up so that the output voltage increases as you open the throttle.

Usually the Vref connects to one of the end pins, the ground to the other end pin, and the output to the megajolt to the center pin, if the voltage on the output goes *down* when you open the tap, reverse the Vref and Ground wires.
