Both cockups were my fault too, so I cant even shit the blame onto someone/something else!
On megajolt it was a wiring error on the EDIS plug, my "saw" pin managed to slip into pin 2 rather than 3. I cant find out what Pin two is on the moduel but this seems to have sent 12volts into my megajolt on the SAW pin.
Now begins the process of trying to work out exactly what has been affected. The unit seems dead, it will not run the engine, it will not comunicate with my laptop (it was doing both of these just fine before)
I have folloed the path on the board from the saw pin. It seems to go through R1, R3 then splits into T2 and the main chip.
I'm really hope if just the T2 transistor is fried the U1 chip may be ok... But I have a feeling this is unlikely.
