EDIS Coil pack wiring options

Post by wvitpr »

Hi,

I am new to megajolt, and have probally a stupid question but here goes.

The edis coil cylinders are marked 1 - 4, I assume that plug 1 and 4 are on the same coil and 2 and 3 are on the other, with this is mind is it possible to swap spark plug wires so connection marked as 4 on the coil goes the cylinder 1 and 1 on the coil goes to cylinder 4, and the same theory for the other 2 cylinders??

This would be the neatest way for me to route my leads, without X-overs.

Best Regards :D

yes that is fine, the system operates a wasted spark system, which basically means cylinders 1 and 4 both spark together and then 2 and 3 will do the same.

Just for your information this does not cause any problems because while one cylinder will have a spark on its firing stroke, its opposite cylinder will also have spark but on its exhaust stroke.
