coil pack to bracket, earth?

Post by roull »

Hi,

I'm about to install a second hand coil pack into my TR6, and I'm wondering, if the contact patch between the coil pack and the bracket has the function of a ground/earth. The reason is that this contact zone was heavily rusted. I would like to know if I may paint this zone after de-rusting.
Thanks in advance for sharing experience.

Hi Patrick-

No grounding is necessary for this part of the coil pack.

Thanks a lot Brent,

I guess the Motorcraft people wanted just to save a few cents...
