Fuel in the MAP sensor

Post by mini-geek »

I keep getting fuel down the vac pipe and into the MAP sensor.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Dose anyone have a solution to this?

it's in the spacer between the carb and manifold, on the top.

Fuel filter in-line or an SPi fuel vapour trap ;)

Oop there you go, that should do the trick. Do you have to empty at regular intervals or anything Gilesy???

Its unusual on a normally aspirated car i think. I guess it something to do with the shape of the tap on the inside of the vent. More understandable on a blown engine.

Hope it helps anyway ;)

Could it be that my Jolt is positioned below the carb?

I'm thinking of removing the MAP sensor fron the housing and mounting it in the dash pod but making sure it is above the carb that way any fuel will run back down and extending the wires.

So a question for Brent, will the MAP sensor still give an acurate reading if the wires are extended?
