Mini running no rpm signal

No rev signal, Mini's running fired straight up double checked all the wiring pip/saw etc but i can get a rev reading? I am currently running the MJ of a 9volt battery will this cause any probems for the rev counter , checked earths too :?

Have you grounded the 0v side of the battery to the chasis as running a seperate power supply to megajolt and edis you will not have a ground to compare.

Danny,

In addition to NITROPIXIE 's tip, you want to make sure the PIP signal is getting inside of the MJLJ unit. No RPM signal and no SAW is indicative of no PIP signal reaching the MJLJ unit.

You will want to ensure the molex pin for the PIP signal makes positive contact with the pin on molex receptacle on the MJLJ board.

Tidied all the grounds up , double checked wiring (grounding MJ to same place as EDIS) tried again and got rpm signal, Engine seems to run good but i need to get radiator back on now finish a few buts and give it a test on the road.

First impressions are excellent and the help of this forum is second to none :mrgreen:
