Hi.
I'm new to the world of Megajolt ownership. I have a V4 with hard rev limiter unit on my desk awaiting some loom wiring before it gets to sit in my Zetec powered Fiesta.
Would it be possible to set Megajolt up to use the option switch for use as either a launch control switch or a full throttle gear change switch? Using Megajolts 2 map setting with the option switch..
In the case of the full throttle gear change, probably setting the 2nd map with a lower rev limit so that the throttle change can be done with the accellerator pedal planted to the floor.
The switch being a push button switch mounted on the clutch pedal arm. With a second switch inline to this so it can be disabled for 'regular' road driving.
Would it work, is it possible?
Thanks.

SO it looks like the launch control is possible.
How long would be considered a 'safe' amount of time to hold the car on the hard rev limiter before any risk of burning out the resistor array?
Jason.
Full throttle gear change.

With the dual map capability and a hard-cut rev limiter what you are after is relatively easy to accomplish. Put the map-switch on the clutch (if you've got a hydraulic clutch then the brake pressure switches work beautifully) and just set the second map up with 0 advance and a very low rev limit.
One word of warning is that such a setup will not make you popular with the noise police and will get you thrown off most track days due to the pops and bangs.
