I thought about running something similar. I quite like the idea of either an spi unit mounted on its side or angled and try to avoid the restriction possibly caused by the downdraught setup with tbi or having a single manifold mounted injector which would bolt straight on to a normal carb manifold.
I'm even thinking of putting fiat cinquecento ecu on a 998 mini with a triggerwheel mounted on the pulley. That way you have built in immobiliser in the key and the economy/reliability of an injection. The 899 cinq push 39 horses which is the same as a 998. Just playing around with ideas really.

The 90 degree turn that air through the SPI goes through causes little restriction. In fact you actively want it as it helps to further homogenise the mixture.

I can see how that works but would be nice to see if i can play around to get some extra ponies out of what could be an SPI. Probably not the right part of the forum to be discussing it though, lol, sorry guys
