pinout differences

Post by bbbrad »

Hi, newby here, just going over the building instructions for both, mjlj and the rev limiter add on kit. i noticed there are pin out differences between the two sets of instructions for the rev limit pin. is this a mistake? which one is correct?
thanks in advance.

Hello,

Assuming you are installing the rev limiter module inside of the Megajolt V4 unit, the connections to the Rev Limiter module are made internally on the MJLJ V4 board.

Once installed, power to the coil is provided through the main V4 connector (documented in the installation guide).

Are these the steps you are doing? Please let us know what else we help clarify.

Yes i am going to do the internal mount option. Inthe the mjlj instructions
http://www.autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V4_ve ... Jr._Wiring
look at the 2nd and 3rd pins from top left...user out 2 and rev limit

look at...
http://www.autosportlabs.net/Hard_rev_l ... ng_diagram
see the difference, the rev limit is coming out of the user output 2 pin.

I know that all the wiring is internal, but i just want to clarify what diagram is correct.
thanks

Well spotted

http://www.autosportlabs.net/Image:Mjlj_v4_pinout.png is the correct one to follow

http://www.autosportlabs.net/Image:Hard ... iagram.png depicts the V3 module.

You can tell these apart by counting the nuber of pins on the plug. 14 = V3, 16 = V4

Yes, thanks for pointing that out. For a V4 installation you can ignore that image - we will update it to clarify V3 installation.

I moved the diagram to the V3 controller section. Not perfect (graphic could say "V3") but it's an improvement. :)
