Ignition wires conversion

Post by 95_sti_cur »

Hi guys, whats up!
I'm installing a mj on a subaru wrx.
This engine has a cop ignition system, wich i'll discard for the ford coil. I bought new subaru ignition wires (from the none turbo subarus), my only problem can I take off the (coil-side)from the edis wires and put them on the subaru wires?
Is their any post describing this practise, can someone redirect me please.
On the boostengineering site they discribe how to put them on, not how to take them off.

Please help ,I don't want to destroy this edis ignition wires!!!!!!

are the STi COPs a 3 wire (grnd, 12v & signal?) setup? either way, it would appear you would only need to wire up 2 out of the 3 (12v & signal?) to the EDIS module(s) essentially treating the Coils like they were regular 2 wire modules. i'm sure someone more electrically savvy than i could probably better explain.

so based on the diagram that i sent you from the nissan does it seem like that should work?

is there a way i can test it without frying one of the coils that i have?
