megajolt jr no rpm signal

megajolt jr no rpm signal
help just bought a made kit megajolt jr, made wiring loom, car runs but when conected to lap top i only get a signal from map sensor and not pickin up a rpm signal? can anyone shed any light on this? thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum
Can you confirm the megajolt is actually controlling the timing or is it in limphome mode (10 Degrees)? If you have a timing light or can get one, but don't have any timing marks you can still do this test by looking at the crankshaft pulley and marking it. If when revved the timing mark doesn't move whilst looking at it with a timing light then it is in limphome mode
It could be you have swapped over you PIP ans SAW wires by mistake so you will then not get an rpm reading or a change in advance.
