Well Ive tried downloading it and transferring it to the Dell laptop several times since my last post, all with the same result

Alvar - Thanks, although Im not sure what you mean by a corrupter installer?

The laptop im online with now is basically brand new, only had it a couple of weeks, so hopefully should be up to date and virus free etc?

How would you practically get around those problems anyway? Download it on a computer that is 100% kosher and transfer across via usb stick?

As you can probably tell, I havent the faintest how these computers work lol, dont be worried about talking to me like im an infant, in fact id welcome it!

Thanks

Joe

hi
i mean corrupted = damaged
You may try that installer on other computers. if you can install without errors, then the problem is in your computer.

What i normally do is click on the software i want to download from the website and then it gives you the option to 'run, 'save' or 'cancel'. If you hit save and put it in an obvious file for yourself then you should be able to drag and drop it onto your usb memory stick so you can transfer it to another computer,

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

well i'm in the same boat too with this, lad next door is an IT techie and without looking at it said that early versions of XP run a different system and dont have the files in it to allow the software to use or attach them selfs too to work or operate as i got the config software on an old lap top and my main PC but wont run on the youg-in's older PC with an older version of XP on it.
