Coil Pack Mount 1500 Spitfire

Post by Zottlander »

I used one of the mounting bolts for the water valve and only drilled one additional hole.
Underneath are Teflon Spitfire leaf spring buttons and two aluminum standoffs.
When i received the coil pack from Boost they had the towers marked wrong. That made
for a interesting first start. After the blasts of backfire, i hooked up just # 1 Cylinder
and tried all the towers till the timing light showed 12 degrees BTDC.(then adjusted my VR position)
I didn't realize that the MJLJ would advance the spark w/o vacuum, that was a nice surprise.

yeah, mj will advance timing without vacuum advance as the timing is just rpm advanced, but will only do so on one row of the mj advance table at 105kpa (throttle wide open)
