Hi, I have just tried to start my car on mj for the first time, and I get no spark.
I dont have a laptop to hook up in car, I was going to remove the mj unit and power it to change settings indoors.
The first thing that comes to mind is my shielded cable, I didnt find 18ga shielded cable that was recomended. So I got what I could find, 22ga. The sales guy seamed to think it would be fine if I doubled it up.
So I ran two sets of shielded cable from the vr sensor to the edis and mj units.
Is that bad?
Will that work?
I just noticed in the parts needed, 20-22 ga sielded cable is recomeneded, so even the single 22 ga I have should be ok?
Is the doubled up setup going to be a problem?
Also I just saw the vr polarity, I will try that. In a minute,
Thanks for any help you can give.
No spark, shielded cable?

NO SPARK
The wire gauge of the shielded cable is unimportant. You need 2 wires inside each shield, esp for the VR, and the polarity is critical. I found that communication from the PC to the MJLJ didn't really work, unless the engine was running. You can use a pretty log cable to the PC, though.
Good wiring is important, check your power. The EDIS ought to put out spark (limp mode) with the MJLJ disconnected. Bruce Roe
