So as not to replicate any posts. Does anyone know the wiring key on the R1 carb throttle position sensor? It's already installed so would be a bit daft to not use it really :D

If it has 3 terminals then it's a straightforward process of using a ohm-volt meter to find out which is the center leg (wiper) of the potentiometer and the respective ground / VREF connections. I think it's been posted here in the forums before on how to determine this; essentially you connect the meter to two connections and observe which way the resistance changes as throttle changes. If you find two terminals that don't change as throttle changes then you've found the two outer legs of the potentiometer. A simple process of elimination.

You want:

+5v
center leg
GND

with the resistance *reducing* between center leg and +5v as throttle opens.

Thanks Brent... *digs out meter and carbs*

Gives me summat to do in readiness for my kit arriving (not that I'm in ANY position to do anything with it all... car's in bits, literally!)

Following has been added later :

And all done :D
For reference

Kawazaki Ninja ZZR Keihin Carbs wiring colour is +5 = Yellow, Gnd = Black, TPS Input = Blue
