Absolutely.
The red gains you +20HP- I say this with confidence, as I run the Accel pack, which has bright yellow terminals.

In all seriousness- the aftermarket units often cost less than the generic OEM replacements.
In fact, almost any coil pack will work with the EDIS system, which is nice as some coil pack packaging / mounting styles are better suited for a particular engine installation/layout.

new here, thinking about going to megajolt
Ive been reading this forum for 3 days now... a lot to digest. I just found out about this product this weekend. I have a sunbeam alpine with a ford cologne 2.8 v6 conversion. I wanted to upgrade my ignition, so i bought a mallory box, it arrived doa. they sent me another one, it lasted a week. Now im just usiing a ballast resistor, coil, and dizzy. It falls on its face around 5000 rpm. After reading all this, i went to a upullit yard today, and got an edis 6 and sensor out of a 4.0 explorer, which has an L shaped configuration and also a straight sensor out of a taurus. They wated $40 for the coil pack,so for that much i thought i would go aftermarket. Would this one work and does it seem lilke a good candidate or would the accel be a better choice? They are about the same price.

My next question is map vs tpi. Which is better? Right now i have a stock cam, but as soon as a rebuild is needed ill be going to a cam with a lot of overlap, so i think that will mean low vaccuum? Im excited about finding this and cant wait to get everything together and get started on this. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Robbie

If you have a throttle body or carb with a common manifold, I would go MAP sensor. It doesn't really matter how much vacuum you have, just that there is some change that the sensor can show to the Megajolt.
If you have six individual runners, I would go TPS. I did this with Webers on a flat four with four separate throats.
That coilpack looks fine.
