Sensor Wiring

Post by Slick »

For the past three weeks, i've been trying to get my car running, but have had no success. I get no spark at all, i've changed the coil pack, tested the sensor, and still nothing. If i have the sensor wired backwards, will it "fry" the EDIS unit?

Wiring the sensor backwards

Wiring the sensor backwards will not fry the module. Many have done it before.

Have you tried running in base timing without the MJLJ connected?

Tried everything. The bloody thing made one spark, then nothing. Oh well, i'll try the wiring the opposite way tonite, then if that doesn't help, i'll go hunting for another EDIS module.

Well, wouldnt ya know it, once i bought another EDIS module, i found out that i wired the sensor backwards.

But, it sure was cool to see flames coming from the carbs with the set up running at 10 degrees BTDC. Once i plugged in the megajolt computer the thing ran like a top.
