How do I check a map is insalled ?

I have managed to get the laptop to connect to the megajolt. I have followed the instructions to install a map. How do i check that the map is installed into the megajolt, because when I knock it off then back on again the blank map cames back up ???
Hope im making sense..
when its connected I get the rev counter up eyc etc

Blueant,
Once you write your map to the memory in the MJLJ you can make it stay there by clicking the next icon to the right. If you don't do this your map will only stay in the MJLJ until you shut off the power. HTH

Thanks for the reply. I have been trying for the last two days, with nothing. It just shuts down then when I start up it says no map installed.
